A sasaeng fan (사생팬) is widely known to be an excessively obsessed Hallyu fan. Although "sasaengs" are largely not considered as fans, many sources still refer to them as "sasaeng fans". Soompi described sasaeng fans as extreme fans who stalk their idols and invade their privacy with questionable methods.that “sa” means private ("私" in hanja) and “saeng” means life ("生" in hanja) in reference to fans’ all-encompassing obsessions with their preferred artists. For sasaengs, the business of deifyingK-pop idols serves no indirect function; the lawless obsession is an end itself. JYJ confirmed that they were victims of "invasion of privacy and stalking." According to JYJ member Junsu, some fans exposed their private phone calls and placed GPS trackers on their cars to monitor every move. There were instances of breaking and entering where fans would take pictures, try to kiss them, and steal their private items." Some sasaengs even installed CCTV surveillance cameras near the homes of their favourite K-pop idols. On any given day, the more popular idols are reported to have at least 100 "full-time stalkers" on their heels.
And this time they went to far. As you know EXO the group I love and RESPECT and well they're a victim of a Sasaeng problem one of the members D.O or Kyungsoo the stalkers broke in the boy's dorms and well stole one of D.O's underwear I know you guys know that we love Kpop but we will never go that far on that type heck that won't even come to mind at all!!

EXO is becoming embroiled in yet another possible sasaeng fan situation, this time in relation to one of the member's supposed underwear being posted for sale online.
On January 20, one netizen, who appears to be a sasaeng fan, posted up an SNS message saying he or she was selling one of D.O's underwear. The netizen wrote, "I am selling the underwear of Do Kyung Soo (D.O). I personally got it from their dorm. It was extremely hard for me to obtain. I am thinking it's worth 10,000 won (~ $10 USD). You don't believe me? There were a couple of hair strands on the underwear that you could test for DNA. I also have socks. Do not argue or tackle one another. I'm going to go next week to get Sehun's underwear if you want to reserve it. I could not get through EXO-M's thorough security. This item was something I was able to barely obtain. I'm selling hair strands, too."
